Undergraduate Programs
“The BSc (Hons) Computer Science and Information Technology course provides students with a solid foundation in programming, computer systems, and software design. In the first year, students learn basic programming, study hardware, and explore algorithms, networking, and mathematics for computing. The Group Project allows practical, team-based application of skills. In the second year, students enhance their programming expertise and delve into advanced topics such as Cyber Security, cloud computing, and data science. They explore operating systems, artificial intelligence, and software engineering principles to design large-scale systems. In the final year, students undertake a significant final year project, involving research, design, development, and testing. They also study user experience design, machine learning, AI, and DevOps principles, preparing them for cutting-edge software development. The course covers emerging technologies, equipping students with the knowledge and practical experience required for diverse careers in the computing and IT industries.”
“The BSc (Hons) Health, Social Care and Well-being course aims to prepare students for employment within the health, social care and/or well-being sectors. Drawing from a variety of disciplines and multidisciplinary perspectives, the program offers students an evidence-based approach to knowledge and insight into health, social care and well-being across different organizational perspectives (public, private and not-for-profit). Students can expect to graduate from this course with broad in-depth knowledge, understanding, critical skills and competences in the areas of health, social care and well-being. The BSc (Hons) Health, Social Care and Well-being provides up-to-date coverage of key areas, topics, theories, concepts and applications for individuals, families, communities and society. Additionally, this course of study provides students with the competencies and skills to examine, evaluate and synthesize evidence-based research in areas related to health, social care and well-being. Students will also have the opportunity to undertake a significant final year project/dissertation examining a topic of their choice through a literature review, empirical study collecting data (where appropriate), analyzing findings and drawing conclusions.”
